Ordering and Quotations – The Important Stuff

Bag sizing

All our bags are hand made and hand sewn, please bear in mind that there will be a difference in size due to this and the relaxing of the material. Calico is more susceptible to inconsistencies  and same bag styles can vary by up to 5%, please allow for this in your choice of bag.

Shrinkage

Calico is a natural fibre and is susceptible to shrinkage by as much as 10%. Please be aware of this before making your choice to wash as we will not replace or refund due to shrinkage.

Confirmation

We don’t consider an order confirmed unless it’s in writing, either by email, mail, or by receipt of a valid purchase order. A verbal order will not be considered confirmation.

Order Details

To receive a binding quotation, we must have all the details. These include final information regarding product, required print work, deadline, and delivery details. Our quotations are based on the accuracy of information we are given by the Buyer. Once the Buyer accepts our quotation, they must provide a Purchase Order or other written confirmation. The details of the quotation should be clearly indicated. The Seller will then provide an invoice. The Buyer now becomes liable for payment of the goods. If the Purchase Order is not consistent with the terms and details of the quotation, we are not required to accept them. After the Purchase Order has been received subsequent changes requested in writing by the Buyer may be accepted at the discretion of the Seller.
A confirmed order binds both Seller and Buyer under the terms of this contract.

Shipping and Returns

The following shipping and returns terms apply to all orders placed through our web site www.claytons.com.au, by email, text or fax.

Shipping Times

Claytons Australia Pty Ltd will make every effort to despatch your order in a timely manner, delivery times are indicative only and we are not liable for shipments which do not arrive at the expected time. To avoid delays in transit, we suggest you provide an attended business address such as a work address where someone you trust will be available to receive the order during normal business hours. Our courier drivers cannot call prior to delivery.

Claytons Australia Pty Ltd only engages the services of respected and well established Freight Companies, these Companies occasionally incur delays beyond their control. Claytons Australia Pty Ltd cannot and will not be held responsible for delays incurred while goods are in transit.

In an effort to reduce costs and to expedite delivery Claytons Australia Pty Ltd may give the Freight Company “Authority to Leave” ( ATL ) the consignment in the event of the premises being unoccupied.

Stock Availability
We aim to keep the stock on our website as accurate as possible.  However if for some reason the stock is unavailable at the time you place your order we will advise accordingly.  Items on your order cannot be reserved until we have received payment in full for those item

Loss and Damage 
The risk for loss of goods or damage in transit ends at the time we despatch the goods with the Courier or otherwise leaves our Warehouse

Additional Fees 
If we incur extra delivery charges as a result of your action or inaction, these may be passed on to you at our discretion.

Transfer of Ownership 
Ownership of the goods will pass to you once the goods have been paid to us in full.

Returns
Returns will not be accepted unless prior arrangements are made with us.

Claims for short deliveries and damaged/faulty goods will be not recognised unless notified in writing within 48 hours of receipt of goods.

If goods have been accepted by your carrier, any claim for shortages or damaged goods should be directed to the carrier.

Goods sold as “stock clearance, scoop purchase or custom made to order” will not be accepted for return under any circumstances
Any arrangement to return goods; should be made within 14 days of receipt. We will not be bound to consider claims beyond 14 days of receipt of goods.

Replacement of goods ordered incorrectly, incorrect size, change of mind.

We do not refund or exchange for incorrect bag size. We do not refund or exchange for change of mind.

Where we incur extra delivery charges as a result of your action or inaction, these may be passed on to you at our discretion

Refunds and exchanges will only be considered if the products are faulty or incorrect product delivered.
