How do you store ham in a ham bag correctly?

1. Mix 2 cups of cold water with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in a large clean bowl.
2. Soak a clean ham bag inside the bowl for a couple of minutes. 
3. Wring out the excess water and place the ham inside. 
4. Store the ham bag in the refrigerator. 
5. Resoak the bag in the vinegar solution every few days to keep the ham moist and fresh.

Why do you need to soak your ham bag? 

The moisture helps to maintain the freshness of the meat. When you take your meat out to carve a few slices, it will lose a little moisture each time. 

How long does ham last in a ham bag? 

With the proper storing method, a ham should last up to 2-3 weeks.
